Let’s talk about the Great Packaging Debate.

We went with the classic twist tie over here at Pop Diggity, and no, it’s not just because we like making modern art out of them (see photo).

We are firmly anti-heat seal, and here is exactly why:

  • Maximum Snack Capacity: Heat sealing requires sacrificing a solid two inches of bag space just to melt the plastic shut. Twist ties let us stuff that bag practically to the brim. We’re in the business of selling gourmet popcorn, not flavored air.
  • The “Hulk Smash” Factor: You know the drill with heat seals. You try to pull the bag apart, and nothing happens. You pull harder, and suddenly the plastic violently ruptures, sending your precious popcorn rocketing across the room.
  • No Scissors Required: You shouldn’t need surgical instruments or a chainsaw to access your snacks.
  • The Ultimate Undo Button: Twist ties let you actually reseal the bag. Eat a handful, twist it shut. Go back five minutes later for “just one more,” twist it shut again. Once you break a heat seal, you’re committed—good luck awkwardly rolling that stiff plastic down and hoping it stays.

So yeah, we do the twist. It just makes sense. Come grab a bag and see for yourself! 🍿
